Enashipai Spa & Resort, the award-winning resort built on about 50 acres in Naivasha, is a fusion of African architecture with rustic bush architecture whose character is inspired by the abstraction of the acacia tree, a prominent tree species on site. The main features of the project, designed and built over five phases, include: The main reception, 2 main restaurants, 3 conference facilities, spa, gift shop, gym, night club, sports bar, clinic, 49 no. villas, several club houses, outdoor sports facilities among others. Some of the green features we employed in the project include use of expansive eaves to achieve façade sun-shading, natural cross ventilation and use of high thermal mass masonry, use of solar power, locally available materials, waste water treatment and recycling, rainwater harvesting among others. Careful master planning for the project ensured natural trees and shrubs on site remained uncut and well maintained for environmental conservation.
